From the EEF to INNOPROM India: Manish Kumar continues his work at international venues

From Vladivostok to New Delhi, Manish Kumar is set to continue his engagement with major Russia-India economic forums as he joins the first International Industrial Exhibition, “INNOPROM. India.

Kumar, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the FBA EAC and President of Soltex Group, will participate in the exhibition being held from September 9 to 11 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

His participation comes just days after the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok, where he took part in discussions on investment and economic growth.

At the EEF on September 3, Kumar spoke during the session “Inspiring Investments: Development Strategy for Growth and Scaling,” which focused on ways to attract private investment into creative industries and support their further development.

The Vladivostok forum brought together thousands of representatives from around the world. At the closing press conference, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev said more than 7,000 participants from 78 countries had attended the event, while agreements signed during the forum were valued at more than 6 trillion rubles.

Now the focus shifts to New Delhi.

INNOPROM. India 2026, organized by Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade together with India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is being held on the eve of the 18th BRICS Summit. The three-day exhibition brings together more than 120 Russian and Indian companies and is designed to showcase industrial technologies while creating new opportunities for business cooperation.

Among the Russian participants are major industrial and technology companies including Rostec, Rosatom, RUSAL, Transmashholding, PhosAgro and Sber. Indian companies and organizations taking part include SRB International, NMDC, Steel Authority of India Limited, ITC, Global Gases Group and Central Electronics Limited, among others.

Spread across 10,000 square metres, the exhibition covers a wide range of industries, from mechanical engineering and mining to chemicals, pharmaceuticals, information technology and medical technologies.

Visitors will also get a look at some of Russia’s latest industrial and technological developments, including a model of a nuclear power plant equipped with a VVER-1200 reactor, aircraft models such as the MS-21-310, SJ-100 and Il-114-300, along with projects in artificial intelligence and digital technologies.

A major focus of the business programme will be the September 10 plenary session, “Strengthening the Russian-Indian Trade and Industrial Partnership: Towards Self-Sustainable Cooperation.” Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov and Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal are expected to take part in the discussion.

Other sessions will look at practical areas of cooperation, including regional aviation, digital technologies, trade infrastructure, additive manufacturing and broader business partnerships between the two countries.

For Kumar, the move from the EEF in Vladivostok to INNOPROM. India in New Delhi reflects a broader effort to strengthen economic ties between Russia, India and other international markets.

His back-to-back participation in two major international forums also highlights the FBA EAC’s growing engagement with South Asian partners and its focus on creating new avenues for Russian companies looking to expand their presence in the region.

With INNOPROM. India taking place just ahead of the BRICS Summit, the timing is particularly significant. The exhibition provides another platform for Russian and Indian businesses to move beyond dialogue and explore practical opportunities in trade, technology, investment and industrial cooperation.
