Soltex Group Plans Textile Supply Hub in Tatarstan, Russia
Soltex Group Advances Plans for Textile Supply Hub in Tatarstan to Serve Russia’s Hospitality Market
Kazan, Russia | October 21, 2026
Soltex Group is exploring new opportunities to strengthen its presence in Russia’s hospitality textile market through plans for a textile raw material warehouse in the Republic of Tatarstan. The proposed facility is aimed at improving supply availability, supporting local textile production and meeting the growing procurement requirements of hotels across Russia.
The initiative was presented by Manish Kumar, President of Soltex Group, during the 2nd Russia–India Business Forum “TIME”, held in Kazan on October 15–16, 2026.
The concept is commercially focused: maintaining readily available stocks of textile raw materials in Tatarstan would allow faster order fulfillment, more flexible production planning and improved responsiveness to the requirements of hospitality customers, particularly four- and five-star hotels.
Creating a More Efficient Supply Chain for Hotel Textiles
Russia’s hospitality industry represents an important market for quality textile products, including bed linen, terry towels, bathrobes and other hotel essentials. For hotels and hospitality procurement companies, consistent product quality, competitive sourcing and dependable delivery schedules remain essential purchasing considerations.
Through the proposed warehouse, Soltex Group aims to develop a more efficient supply model, bringing raw material availability closer to manufacturers and end customers.
The initiative could create additional opportunities for cooperation with Russian textile manufacturers, hotel suppliers, distributors and hospitality procurement companies.
Soltex Group already has experience in textile manufacturing and processing through its facility in the Tver region, supplying the Russian market and supporting international trade, including exports to India.
India–Russia Trade: From Sourcing to Manufacturing Cooperation
The discussions in Kazan also addressed opportunities to expand bilateral industrial cooperation beyond conventional textile products.
One area of potential collaboration is technical textiles and industrial materials. Manish Kumar highlighted opportunities for Russian glass fiber manufacturers to supply Indian companies involved in composite material production, including applications in the automotive and other industrial sectors.
Such cooperation could open additional commercial channels for manufacturers in both countries, creating opportunities in sourcing, distribution, industrial supply and cross-border partnerships.
Shamkhal Ildarov, President of the Russian Textile Association, also underlined the potential for expanding textile cooperation between India and the Republic of Tatarstan.
New Business Opportunities for Manufacturers, Distributors and Hotels
The proposed Tatarstan warehouse initiative reflects Soltex Group’s broader commercial approach to the Russian market: developing reliable sourcing arrangements, strengthening regional supply networks and building partnerships between manufacturers and large-scale buyers.
For Russian textile manufacturers, the initiative could offer improved access to raw materials. For hotels and hospitality distributors, it could contribute to more responsive procurement and supply arrangements. For Indian businesses, it presents another avenue to explore cooperation with Russian companies across textiles and industrial materials.
As India and Russia continue to explore opportunities for deeper economic engagement, regional initiatives such as this can help translate bilateral business discussions into practical commercial partnerships.
Soltex Group is committed to developing cross-border business opportunities that connect Indian manufacturers, Russian industrial partners, and commercial buyers, with a focus on sustainable supply relationships and long-term market development.
