For over two decades, Manish Kumar has stood at the confluence of India and Russia—not merely as a businessman, but as a bridge-builder, cultural ambassador, and advocate for deeper understanding between nations.

Born from Indian heritage and shaped by decades of experience across global markets, Manish Kumar embodies the spirit of the modern diaspora leader. His journey began with senior management roles at Petropharma International and Polypharma International, where he developed expertise in the CIS markets.

In 2011, he took the helm of Soltex Group, steering it into a diversified multinational with affiliated companies spanning Delhi, Mumbai, St. Petersburg, and Kaluga. With more than 22 years in international trade, Mr. Kumar has forged partnerships with industrial groups across Asia, India, Russia, and Central Asia—a record built around sustainable industrial growth.

What distinguishes Manish Kumar is his commitment to bringing India and Russia closer. His mission is to remove stereotypes, fill information gaps, and help both nations reach new levels of mutual trust and cooperation.

As Deputy Chairman of the Board of FBA EAC and Co-Chairman of the International Council for Cooperation and Investment (ICSI) of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Mr. Kumar has helped create practical pathways for collaboration. He has led high-level delegations to Russia and the CIS, including to the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

His leadership has supported cooperation in financial technologies and digital payments, data centers and cloud infrastructure, logistics and supply chains, agro-industry, tourism, textiles, and consumer products. Under his guidance, Soltex Group hosted the forums “India Meets the World” and “India–Russia: New Business Horizons” in Moscow, bringing together more than 150 delegates from both countries.

Mr. Kumar believes business success is incomplete without social responsibility. Through Soltex Group’s “Employee Charity of Choice” program, employees select charities close to their hearts, with donations supported by the company founders. For him, giving and sharing are lived commitments.

A frequent speaker at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, Caucasus Investment Forum, INNOPROM, and the Eastern Economic Forum, Mr. Kumar uses each platform to advocate for trade balance, mutual understanding, and shared prosperity. His appearances on RBC, NDTV, Business Today, and BRICS TV have made him a trusted voice on international cooperation.
