Following his participation at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Manish Kumar, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the FBA EAC and President of Soltex Group, is now heading to New Delhi to take part in the first International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. India.”
The exhibition is being held from September 9 to 11, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam and brings together companies and industry representatives from Russia and India at a time when economic and industrial ties between the two countries are gaining renewed attention.
Kumar recently took part in the Eastern Economic Forum, held in Vladivostok from September 1 to 4. On September 3, he joined the session “Inspiring Investments: Development Strategy for Growth and Scaling,” where participants discussed ways to attract private investment and create conditions for the growth of creative industries.
The scale of this year’s EEF was reflected in the figures released by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev at the forum’s final press conference. More than 7,000 people from 78 countries attended the event, while the value of agreements signed during the forum exceeded 6 trillion rubles.
The focus now moves to New Delhi, where INNOPROM. India 2026 is bringing together more than 120 Russian and Indian companies. The exhibition is being organized by Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry and is taking place shortly before the 18th BRICS Summit.
Major Russian companies taking part include Rostec, Rosatom, RUSAL, Transmashholding, PhosAgro and Sber. Indian participants include SRB International, National Mineral Development Corporation, Steel Authority of India Limited, ITC, Global Gases Group and Central Electronics Limited, along with other companies and organizations.
The 10,000-square-metre exhibition will showcase technologies and projects across several major industrial sectors, including mechanical engineering, mining and metallurgy, chemicals, IT, pharmaceuticals and medical technology.
Among the Russian exhibits are a model of a nuclear power plant featuring a VVER-1200 reactor, models of the MS-21-310, SJ-100 and Il-114-300 aircraft, as well as projects focused on artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
One of the main events of the business programme will take place on September 10, with the plenary session “Strengthening the Russian-Indian Trade and Industrial Partnership: Towards Self-Sustainable Cooperation.” Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov and Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal are scheduled to participate.
The wider programme will address a range of practical areas, including business cooperation, regional aviation, digital technologies, trade infrastructure and additive manufacturing.
For the FBA EAC, Kumar’s participation in both the Eastern Economic Forum and INNOPROM. India reflects a continued focus on strengthening economic links between Russia and South Asia.
With the two events taking place within days of each other, the transition from Vladivostok to New Delhi also highlights the growing importance of direct business dialogue, investment and industrial cooperation between Russia and India.
